To help support Real Love Ministries International (RLMI) in Haiti, we are hosting a 5k run/walk on Thanksgiving morning at Richardson's Adventure Farm. This is an opportunity to support this amazing group. Real Love Haiti brings hope and much needed care to orphans, widows, and the Haitian community. For $240 a month, RLMI can provide one Haitian child with a secure place to live, tuition, daily meals, medical attention, security, and more. $40 a month will cover 1 of 6 shares needed to fully meet the financial costs for 1 child. Together we can make a difference.

Since all expenses for this event have been covered by Meadowland Church and others, there's no official registration fee to participate in this 5k. However, would you consider making a donation to Real Love Ministries in Haiti of at least $40 per participant or $100 per group/family? 100% of your donation goes to Real Love Haiti.

Where is the 5k Turkey Trot being held?
We are running on the property of Richardson's Adventure Farm located at 909 English Prairie Rd in Spring Grove. To clarify, this is NOT the Richardson Christmas Tree Farm.
Where should I park?
We will have signage up directing where to go, but for those familiar with Richardson's Adventure Farm, we are parking in the employee parking NOT in the primary or field parking. Once you enter the Farm, take the first left and park on either side of the parking lot. Sign-in will be located in the newly built covered pavilion just south of the employee parking lot.
Can I bring a stroller, wagon, wheelchair, etc.
While we will not be running/walking on any paved surfaces, the path will be fairly flat and conducive to most wheeled strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs.
Will the 5k happen rain or shine?
Yes, that is the plan. In the event of any significant weather event that would make the 5k unsafe, we would notify all participants of any changes via email and text.
Will this be an official timed or sanctioned 5k?
While this will not be an official sanctioned 5k, we are planning on having an official timekeeper for those who'd like to keep track of their time. For those who have running apps that track your distance and time, the use of these is recommended as well for your own benefit.
Are their prizes?
Aside from the prize of knowing your donation is helping to house, feed, and educate orphans in Haiti, there is no official prize at this time. There will, however, be a free t-shirt for all participants while supplies last.
Do I need to bring anything?
We will have drinking water and some light refreshments available for the beginning and/or end of the 5k. Beyond that, bring anything you want to have with you for the 5k.
Will there be access to public restrooms?
Yes, there will be bathrooms available at the beginning and end of the race, but none along the running/walking route.
Why on Thanksgiving morning?
Because most everyone will be available to join us aside from any Thanksgiving Day preparations. Not to mention its a great way to start you Thanksgiving weekend celebration. Get outside with your family and friends while making a difference in the lives of others.
Can I help sponsor a future 5k for Real Love?
